Advantage Reline is the leader in trenchless pipe repair. Creators of The Advantage Reline System™, a Sprayed-in-Place (SIPP) trenchless pipe repair technology that can be applied in sewer, storm, gas and even potable water pipe repair applications for pipes between 2″ and 120″. When they came to Set Fire Creative, they needed help with their digital marketing. Our team has been running their SEO and Google Ads for over four years and the results have been incredible.

When we met Advantage Reline in 2020, they were faced with a monumental challenge—getting qualified leads through their website. They were looking to cut back on trade shows and invest in online advertising. They had tried running Google Ads on their own, but found it more difficult than first assumed. Their services can cost anywhere from $10,000 to over one million dollars. Finding deals with that price point is no easy feat with a $2,500 monthly Google ad spend budget. The Advantage Reline team is very confident in their ability to close deals, but they needed a marketing partner who could get them qualified leads.

The Solution

Set Fire Creative performed extensive research into Advantage Reline’s brand, their ideal target market, the trenchless pipe repair industry, and any potential competitors. As you can imagine, trenchless pipe repair is a unique industry—one that our team knew nothing about before engaging Advantage Reline. After doing their due diligence, our team believed a combination of Google Ads and SEO would  help achieve the desired results. 

Google Ads

If a pipe bursts under a city street, those responsible for the maintenance of the roads needs to find help quick. In this modern age, that typically means pulling up Google to find help. Traditional pipe repair can take a lot of time and requires digging a trench to reach the pipe. Trenchless pipe repair, on the other hand, requires no trenches and is a lot quicker. Not surprisingly, trenchless pipe repair is still a fairly new concept, which means the average person doesn’t know to look for it direct. With our Google Ads strategy, we made sure to appear in the ads section of the search engine results pages (SERPs) whenever anyone needed pipe repair and offered trenchless pipe repair as a solution.

Search Engine Optimization

Similar to the Google Ads strategy, we wanted to be sure Advantage Reline appeared organically in the SERPs anytime someone searched for pipe repair, trenchless pipe repair, and similar key phrases. We also wanted to ensure Advantage Reline was seen as the authority in the space. Our SEO process for Advantage Reline included an SEO audit, extensive keyword research, monthly blog content answering frequently asked questions in the industry, and monthly backlinking.

Results

When Advantage Reline first approached Set Fire Creative, their annual revenue was just shy of $1 million. After only two years of working with Set Fire Creative, their annual revenue was $10 million—a 10X. Set Fire Creative has proudly been their only marketing team for the last five years.

Google Ads

Advantage Reline was running Google Ads on their own before our team was hired. They had not seen any leads come through from Google Ads before engaging with Set Fire Creative. In the first month of running ads, our team was able to get them 8 leads. Things only got better from there. Over the years, we have seen increases in clicks, leads, and impressions, while seeing a decrease in cost per click and cost per lead.

SEO

There was a lot of work to be done on the SEO side of things for Advantage Reline. We kicked things off with an SEO audit, performing a “health check” on their site. From the SEO, our team found that we needed to improve site speed on desktop and mobile, disavow 270+ backlinks, and update meta tags. We worked on those items immediately and had the site performing better on Google in no time. Next, we ran extensive keyword research and mapped out new pages to add to the site and blog posts to write.
